La Rêve was the Black Cat Cabaret’s predecessor.
A weekly cabaret grand spectacular, La Rêve ran every Friday night at the UK’s oldest operating nightclub, the Cafe de Paris.
Hosted by the legendary Dusty Limits, and later by Laurie Hagen, the show featured a variety of cabaret, comedy, burlesque, vaudeville and circus performers. No two shows were the same, with a fresh line-up of guest performers every week.
Performers who trod the boards at La Rêve included Frisky & Mannish, Piff the Magic Dragon, Sarah-Louise Young, Pete Firman, Craig the Incredible Hula Boy, Bret Pfister, Miss Behave, Exotic Luna Rosa, Bourgeois & Maurice, Elliot Mason, Mat Ricardo, Empress Stah, Chrys Columbine, Kitty Bang Bang, Vicky Butterfly and countless others…
What Happens Now?
La Rêve finished its long and successful run in November 2012.
In January 2013, The Black Cat Cabaret is set to reach dizzying new heights with lashings more glitz, galmour, sideshow and spectacle.
La Rêve was a supper club as well as a cabaret show, and The Black Cat Cabaret is keeping this tradition alive! We’re continuing to offer a range of different dining, drinking, table reservation, or unreserved show-only tickets at a range of prices. Please visit our Tickets page and click on a date to buy online.
You can still go the whole hog and opt for three-course dining with champagne, the best seats in the house, and an aftershow reservation in the VIP bedroom, or save your pennies and take your chances on the upper mezzanine level with the hoi polloi!

After the show, all our guests are invited to join us in the VIP bar for a raucous yet exclusive late night party hosted by our revolving roster of DJs, playing the finest in vintage rock & roll, swing, soul, ska, freak beat, boogaloo, surf and lounge exotica.
Party the night away in an atmosphere of decadent, sophisticated glamour. Meanwhile the main room is opened to the public for a club night.
We’re sad to be waving goodbye to La Reve, but all good things must come to an end. Chin up! There are exciting times to look forward to at The Black Cat Cabaret, beginning on the 11th January, 2013. See you there…
Please note that The Black Cat Cabaret comes to the end of its sold-out run at Cafe de Paris on the 22nd November 2013. Keep an eye on the site for Christmas parties in December, and a new venue in 2014!
